Executive Director with a Horse

Deb VanderBand PEC, ES, EAGALA Certified

Deb is the Executive Director of Equine Assisted Development, nonprofit. She lives at the ranch in Kentwood, Michigan with her husband and youngest daughter. She has 4 grown children and 7 grandchildren.

With EAD Deb combines two of her life passions: horses and serving people. As a little girl she dreamt of one day owning her own horse. That dream came true in the year 2000 as she began the journey of not only owning horses, but rescuing them from compromising situations. In 2006, she became certified as an Equine Specialist from the nationally acclaimed EGALA organization. Through this program she learned to discern how the behavior of people is reflected in the behavior, personality and body language of these majestic animals.
